Tradition and challenge of Igarashien, which has been making the tea for more than 70 years.
Igarashien was founded in 1947 in Nishikoyama, Tokyo. The company has continued to produce āSecret Meichaā through many years of original research and innovation.
The tea is made from the fresh leaves of a superior variety of Yabukita tea cultivated by natural farming methods at a specially contracted farm in Makinohara, Shizuoka, and produced using a unique fire-roasting method.
The five cornerstones are also the basis of the company name.
I. āTeaā for taking a break, respecting tradition.
2. āTeaā for maintaining and sustaining physical health.
3. Tea to be enjoyed with food and sweet dishes.

5. Tea for a new era, something that has never existed before.
The philosophy of Igarashien is āOne Dropā.
Igarashien has built up its traditions and techniques under the philosophy of āOne dropā and was awarded the Jury's Encouragement Award in the Japanese Tea AWARD 2021.
