Bring the elegance of Arita porcelain, Japan's oldest ceramic tradition, to your table.

Arita porcelain, a traditional Japanese ceramic, is crafted in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. With a history spanning approximately 400 years, it holds the title of Japanā€™s oldest porcelain, cherished to this day since its first creation in Arita.

This particular kiln traces its origins to the early Edo period and is part of a lineage renowned for its masterful craftsmanship. Unlike the typical division of labour seen in Arita porcelain production, this kiln handles every step of the process in-houseā€”from creating the original moulds to shaping the clay and firing the pieces.

Each item is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, resulting in unique pieces with subtle colour variations and distinctive brushwork. These beautiful creations are a testament to the artistry and heritage of Arita porcelain.

The key to achieving a sleek appearance..

The key to achieving a sleek appearance with both thinness and durability lies in the use of high-quality stone and the precise firing temperature.

Arita porcelain, often referred to as "Ishimono" (stoneware), differs from "Tsuchimono" (earthenware) in its composition. Made from finely crushed porcelain stone rich in glassy minerals, it is shaped into clay and fired at temperatures approaching 1,300Ā°C.

This process results in a harder, more durable porcelain thatā€™s not only elegant but also highly practical for everyday use.

Perfect for adding a touch of charm to your everyday moments or elevating your table for special occasions.

A design that brings elegance to your table. Its glossy yet refined texture complements any occasion effortlessly.
